⚠️
Compute Capacity Is Never Audited
Standard DR reviews cover storage, databases, and networking. None of them assess whether EC2 capacity will actually be available in your failover region during a real disaster — when every other company is competing for the same instances.
The Gap
Most DR assessments completely miss this dimension
🔎
RTO Targets Are Rarely Validated
Your runbook says 15 minutes. But has anyone actually tested full failover under realistic disaster conditions — including zone saturation, service quota limits, and Auto Scaling dependencies? Most organizations haven't.
The Gap
Rehearsed tests don't simulate real disaster capacity pressure
💰
Compliance Doesn't Equal Readiness
SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS require a documented DR plan — not a tested one. Organizations pass audits with DR architectures that would fail in a real regional outage. We test what auditors don't.
The Gap
Audit-passing DR plans are not the same as disaster-ready ones

Architecture Discovery
We inventory your full DR architecture across AWS regions and Availability Zones — compute, storage, databases, networking, and IAM.
✓ EC2, EBS, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3 coverage
✓ Cross-region replication and backup strategy
✓ IaC (CloudFormation/CDK) deployment readiness
✓ Service quota limits in DR region
We assess all four AWS DR tiers: Backup & Restore, Pilot Light, Warm Standby, Multi-Site Active/Active
🛡️
RTO/RPO Validation
We test whether your stated recovery objectives are achievable — not just documented.
✓ Failover trigger and automation review
✓ RDS read replica promotion path testing
✓ Aurora global database replication lag
✓ Route 53 / Global Accelerator routing validation
Most organizations target 99.99% but are architected for 99.9%
⚡️
Capacity Risk Scoring
Our proprietary capacity risk model scores each workload tier against real AWS regional failure patterns.
✓ Compute capacity availability score per region
✓ On-demand vs reserved vs guaranteed coverage
✓ Auto Scaling dependency risk assessment
✓ Multi-AZ and multi-region gap analysis
This dimension is unique to Cloudidr — no other assessment covers it

Who is this assessment for?
Organizations running production workloads on AWS with RTO requirements under 4 hours, compliance mandates (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, FFIEC), or cyber insurance requirements for a validated DR plan. Ideal for SaaS companies, financial services, and healthcare organizations.
What AWS services do you evaluate?
Amazon EC2, EBS, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, AWS Backup, VPC, Route 53, Global Accelerator, AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery, CloudFormation, CloudFront, and Auto Scaling.
How is this different from what our internal team already does?
Internal teams test DR under controlled conditions. We assess it against how AWS infrastructure actually behaves during real disaster scenarios — including compute capacity contention, service quota limits, and control plane vs data plane availability differences that internal teams rarely model.
Do we need to give you access to our AWS environment?
We work with read-only AWS access (IAM read-only policy) and stakeholder interviews. No production changes, no disruption to running workloads.
What happens after the assessment?
You receive a written DR Gap Report with severity-ranked findings, a 30/60/90-day remediation roadmap, and an executive summary. Optionally, we can help you remediate findings — including through Cloudidr DR Compute as a Service for guaranteed EC2 capacity at 77% below on-demand pricing.
Is there a long-term commitment?
No. The assessment is a fixed-fee, fixed-scope engagement. No retainer, no ongoing commitment required. Remediation support is available separately if needed.
